Male, female, universal, and accessible change rooms are available at the Essex Recreation Complex.

Children 7 years of age and older must use gender appropriate changerooms. Universal changeroom space is available.

Lockers are available in the male, female and universal changerooms. Locks can be rented for daily use and/or you are also welcome to bring your own lock but it must be removed at the end of your visit. We encourage you not to leave valuables and belongings unsecured in the facility.
Admission Policy & Pool Information

All Swimmers Ages 0–6
- Swimmers must remain within arms’ reach of a responsible person aged 14 or older.
- A maximum of 2 swimmers are permitted.
CAUTION
Non-Swimmers Ages 7–13
- Non-swimmers must remain within arms’ reach of a responsible person aged 14 or older.
- A maximum of 2 non-swimmers are permitted.
GO
Proficient Swimmers Ages 7+
- Swimmers who have passed the swim test may swim unaccompanied.
- Slide and rope access permitted.
Important Note
Swimmers with serious medical conditions must always be accompanied 1:1 by an individual who is knowledgeable about the condition and responsible for their direct supervision.
General Pool Information
To ensure a fun, clean, and safe swimming experience, please keep these guidelines in mind and always follow the directions of our lifeguards, who are here to ensure everyone's safety:

Health First: Please refrain from entering the pool if you are unwell or have open wounds, and please avoid spitting water or blowing your nose in or around the pool.

Keep it Safe: For everyone's safety, please leave glass containers outside the pool area and avoid rough play or horseplay.

Capacity Limit: The maximum pool capacity is 225 people.
Proper swim attire is required at all times for anyone entering the water – bathing suits/swim trunks only. Clothing is not permitted in the pool.
Essex Recreation Complex has a viewing gallery where spectators are welcome. Spectators are not charged admission but must remain in the viewing gallery area.
