Community Services offers several different options for your birthday party with packages for groups from 10 to 50 participants, all at a reasonable price. From a splashtastic aquatic party to exciting sports and specialty-themed birthday parties, we have something for everyone.

We supply the pizza, juice and fun, and best of all - leave the clean-up to us!

Classic Party Package

Book this affordable package for a fun, stress-free celebration! Enjoy one hour of self-directed play in our gym with play equipment provided followed by one hour of party time with pizza and presents. We handle all the cleanup, allowing you to focus on having fun.

Location: MAE/ERC or by request at other facilities when available.

Theme Party Package

Our theme parties are an exciting alternative for your child, tailored specifically to their age! These 2 hour parties include one hour of staff led activity and one hour of time to eat pizza and juice and open presents! Best of all, leave the set up and clean up to us! Please see page 5 for booking information and time slots.

Arty Party	Give your kids a fun, inspiring experience to enjoy with friends while they create a canvas painting to take home. Creative Canvas Parties have a choice of painting a cupcake, a dinosaur or a narwhal. Of course, music, dancing and games are provided too if time allows! Perfect for older children and teens! Ages 7 & up. Location: All Facilities
Escape Room Party	In this adventurous party, kids will work through puzzles, riddles, and physical challenges to successfully "escape" and claim victory! Ages 7 & up. Location: All Facilities
K-Pop Party	Get ready to take the stage and celebrate your birthday like a superstar! You and your friends will craft custom microphones, hunt for hidden treasures in a themed scavenger hunt, and show off your best moves at an epic dance party. Ages 5 & Up. Location: All Facilities
L'il Chef's Party Maximum of 15 Participants	Let us help celebrate your birthday by cooking up a storm! You and your friends will be able to cook your very own birthday cakes, as well as play lots of exciting party games! Ages 3-6. Location: MAE or MCC
Little Scientists Party	Join us in the lab for a birthday party your little scientist won't soon forget! Participants will learn about science and use their knowledge to experiment and create two products, with your choice of slime, lava lamps or bouncy balls. Ages 7 & up. Location: All Facilities
Princess Party	Be crowned Birthday Princess on your special day! You will surely be treated like royalty. Come and enjoy a princess worthy craft and many princess games that you and your friends will love! Ages 3-6. Location: All Facilities
Recreational Swim or Skate Party	Birthday guests will have a blast taking part in an hour of recreational swimming or skating, followed by a birthday celebration including pizza and juice. For extra fun, consider adding the slide for swim parties. All ages. Location: ERC (Swimming) \| ECSC/HCSCC (Skating)
Spa Party	What better way to celebrate a birthday than a little pampering? Participants will create two DIY spa products from your choice of bath bombs, lip balm, body scrub or sprinkle facemasks. Once their creations are complete, participants will style their hair or paint their nails! Ages 7 & up. Location: All Facilities
Sport/Activity Party	A full hour of fun in the gym! Our Expert Essex Party Host will tailor activity based on interests of the birthday guest. Choose from a variety of sport and activity options including games, soccer, basketball, dodgeball, floor hockey and more. Ages 4 & up. Location: All Facilities/ERC by request when available
Super Hero Party	Get your special powers ready as it's time to take part in super hero training! Super heroes in attendance will use their skills to compete in a variety of fun activities and craft some pretty outstanding new gear. Ages 3-6. Location: All Facilities
Wizards & Wonders Party	Kids will love being hands-on in this magical potions and charms bash! With the wave of a wand, the spell is cast on tricks and magical fun. Young wizards and muggles alike will have blast in many exciting games, activities and experiments! Ages 5 & up. Location: All Facilities

Ninja Nerf™ Party Maximum of 40 Participants	We provide all of the equipment for a great time as we split your group into 2-3 teams. Each game is jam-packed with action. Children love fire trucks and parties - we bring them together! Guests are provided with a tour of the station and get to learn about and see the equipment in action. Participants will play firefighting games, learn about fire safety and do activities that simulate actual firefighting. Only available Saturdays 11:00 am to 1:00pm. Ages 5 & up.

Party Terms and Conditions

Additional Food Policy

Additional Food Policy: Our party packages include an appropriate amount of pizza based on the number of guests at the party. We recognize that you may want to have extra food available, additional pizzas can be ordered at $18 each. There is an additional $50 charge that will be applied when unapproved food is brought into a party.

Cake and Ice cream are approved extra foods, that do not apply to this policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please Note: All policies are listed in the Terms and Conditions, which should be read thoroughly at the time of booking. If you have any other questions about our parties, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Can I bring extra food or drinks?

Our packages include pizza and juice for your guest count, and you are always welcome to bring your own cake and ice cream at no extra cost! Please note that an additional $50 fee applies if you choose to bring in other outside food.

What if someone has an allergy?

You are welcome to bring specialized food for guests with allergies at no additional charge.

How much pizza is included?

The Town provides a minimum of 2 slices of pizza per participant, based on the number of guests included in your specific package.

Can I order additional pizza or customize toppings?

Yes! Additional pizzas and custom toppings can be ordered for an extra fee. Our pizzas are provided by Domino's Pizza in Essex.

How early can I arrive for setup?

Please arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled party time. As our spaces and staff are often scheduled for other activities immediately before your booking, we cannot guarantee earlier access. If you require more time for setup, please inquire about booking additional rental time when making your reservation.

Is it possible to extend the room rental or add extra activities?

Yes. At the time of booking, you may extend your rental or add activities, subject to staff and facility availability. Standard rental fees will apply for any additional time.

Does the guest count include supervising parents?

Yes – our package pricing is based on "Group Size," which includes all individuals in the room or pool regardless of age or level of participation. Any parents who are staying to watch or assist with supervision must be included in the total guest count. Alternatively supervising adults are welcome to wait outside of the party space to be excluded from the guest count.

What is the Town of Essex Aquatic Admission Policy?

The full policy can be found at this link. Key highlights include:

Children Under 7: Must be within arm's reach of a parent or guardian (min. 14 years old) at all times.
Children Ages 8 to 13: Must be within arm's reach of a guardian unless they pass a swim proficiency test.
Supervision Ratio: There is a limit of 2 children per adult for those requiring direct supervision.

Are we permitted to bring our own decorations?

Absolutely! We encourage you to personalize your space; however, please note that nothing may be taped or attached to the walls. To make your day stress-free, we handle all the cleanup so you can focus on the celebration! If your decorations require more than 15 minutes to set up, please ensure you book additional rental time in advance, subject to availability. Every rental includes a birthday sign and a paper table covering that guests can colour on.
