2026 Municipal Election
The Town of Essex’s next municipal election will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026.

Town Hall and the Gesto Office will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2026, for Victoria Day. Both offices will return to regular business hours on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Residents can report non-urgent issues online at essex.ca/reportaproblem.
The Town of Essex is initiating this study to develop a Master Plan that will provide a comprehensive and strategic framework for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater servicing across the study area.
The Town offers many Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy Programs to assist homeowners in reducing the risk of basement flooding on private property.
