Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Electric vehicles promote a healthy, safe, and environmentally conscious community. EV Charging Stations in the Town of Essex play an important role in expanding the provincial network of charging stations and reducing “range anxiety,” a common concern of consumers regarding the distance electric vehicles can travel compared to traditional vehicles.

Learn more about the FLO charging network.

Electric vehicles have battery packs that need to be recharged by plugging into the electricity grid. Electric vehicle charging stations provide a public location for recharging. The time it takes to fully recharge an electric vehicle is based on the level, or speed, of the charging station.

Charging stations are available at the following locations in the Town of Essex:

Essex Centre Sports Complex
60 Fairview Ave W., Essex

Heritage Garden Park
87 Station Street, Essex

Harrow and Colchester South Arena
243 McAffee Street, Harrow

To find additional FLO charging stations, please refer to the FLO Network Interactive Map

The charging stations are equipped with payment technology. Users pay in advance with a credit card per hour, but only pay for the amount of time actually used. For current pricing, please visit the FLO website and search for the Essex location.
