Proclamations
Proclamations provide Essex Council with an opportunity to promote public awareness campaigns, charitable fundraising campaigns, and arts and cultural celebrations of significance to the Town of Essex. Proclamations may also acknowledge special honours for individuals and organizations of the Town of Essex in recognition of an achievement. To ensure that all requests are dealt with consistently, Council's endorsement of proclamations is based on a framework contained in the Proclamation Policy.
The Proclamation Request Form must be completed and submitted to the Clerk by all persons and organizations requesting that Council pass a proclamation. Draft wording for the proclamation must be submitted by separate email to the Clerk.
