Town of Essex Celebrates Local Government Week

The Town of Essex is joining municipalities across Ontario to celebrate Local Government Week from October 18 to 24, 2026.  

Local Government Week recognizes the important role municipal governments play in delivering the programs, services, and infrastructure residents rely on every day. 

"This week is a time to recognize the people behind the scenes who work daily to make our municipality operate and become more resilient," said the Mayor of the Town of Essex. "I am proud to work alongside a dedicate team who share a commitment to building a better community for the residents of Essex". 

As part of Local Government Week, the Town of Essex will be sharing Staff Highlights on social media. Staff will share what they love most about working in public service and give residents a behind-the-scenes look at the work they do each day to serve our community.
