Town of Essex Announces Naming Partners for New Amphitheatre

The Town of Essex is proud to announce the naming partners for its upcoming outdoor amphitheatre at Heritage Park in Essex Centre. Through the generous support of ENWIN Utilities Ltd. and the Essex Centre BIA, the new venue will become a premier destination for community events, live entertainment and celebrations for years to come.

As the project's primary naming rights sponsor, ENWIN Utilities Ltd. has made a significant investment to support the development of the new outdoor Amphitheatre. This investment demonstrates ENWIN's commitment to supporting vibrant, connected communities through meaningful public spaces. In recognition of this support, the facility will officially be known as the ENWIN Amphitheatre, reflecting ENWIN's role in helping create a venue that will bring residents and visitors together for generations to come.

The Essex Centre BIA has also made an important investment in support of the project. In recognition of this contribution, the performance area will be named the Essex Centre BIA Main Stage, celebrating the organization's longstanding commitment to enhancing Essex Centre as a vibrant destination for residents, businesses and visitors.

Together, these two community-focused investments have fully funded the construction of the new amphitheatre, creating an exciting outdoor venue that will support concerts, festivals, cultural programming and community events in the heart of Essex Centre.

"This project represents what can be accomplished when community partners share a vision for the future," said the Mayor of the Town of Essex. "ENWIN Utilities' remarkable leadership investment, combined with the Essex Centre BIA's incredible commitment to our downtown, has made this exciting new community asset possible."

"This investment reflects ENWIN's long-term commitment to the communities we are privileged to serve," said Garry Rossi, Chief Executive Officer, ENWIN Utilities Ltd.  “We are proud to partner with the Town of Essex on a project that will create a lasting gathering place where residents and visitors can enjoy local culture, entertainment, and community events for years to come."

“The BIA name on that stage represents the 200+ businesses in Essex Centre, and together we've been investing in this park for years - the picnic pavilion, and contributions toward the washroom facility and the downtown streetscape,” said Stephanie Winger, Chair, Essex Centre BIA. “When people come to Essex for a concert or festival, they find the shops, restaurants and services that make this a destination worth returning to.”

The new amphitheatre is being constructed within Heritage Park, adjacent to the Essex Train Station, and is designed to enhance the park as a community gathering space while supporting local events and tourism initiatives. The venue will provide a permanent outdoor performance space that can accommodate a wide variety of entertainment and community programming.

The Town of Essex extends its sincere appreciation to ENWIN Utilities and the Essex Centre BIA for their extraordinary investments in the community. Their support demonstrates a shared commitment to creating vibrant public spaces that will benefit residents and visitors for generations.

Additional details regarding the project timeline and future programming will be shared as they become available.
