Mayor's Message - November 2026
As we reflect on the past four years, I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together as a community. From advancing important projects to continuing to meet the needs of our residents, the 2022–2026 term has helped build a strong foundation for the future of the Town of Essex.
I want to extend my sincere thanks to all members of the outgoing Council for their time, dedication, and service to our community. A special thank you to Brad Allard, Rodney Hammond, and Jason Matyi for their contributions and commitment to the residents of Essex. Public service requires hard work, thoughtful decision-making, and a genuine willingness to serve others. On behalf of our community, thank you for stepping forward and making a difference. I wish you and your families all the very best in the years ahead.
Congratulations to our returning and newly elected members of Council who we will be officially sworn in on November 16th at 6pm at the Inaugural Meeting of Council. It is an honour to serve this community, and I look forward to working together in the new term to build on our progress and continue to make Essex a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.
Most importantly, thank you to you, our residents, for your continued support, engagement, and pride in our community. Essex is what it is because of the people who call it home, and I am excited about what we can accomplish together in the years ahead.
Let's continue building something we can all be proud of.
— Mayor Sherry Bondy
