Last Call for the Colchester and County Road 50 CIP
The Town of Essex is putting out a last call for property/business owners to apply for the Colchester and County Road 50 Community Improvement Plan (CIP) program.
This program aims to revitalize Colchester into a vibrant social, economic, and cultural hub by offering financial incentives to increase the economic prosperity of the area.
Eligible property/business owners can take advantage of the following eight financial incentive programs:
- Development Permit Fee Grant
- Development Charge Grant
- Tax Increment Equivalent Grant
- Parks Levy Equivalent Grant
- Façade Improvement Grant
- Outdoor Cafe, Patio, and Commercial Outdoor Space Grant
- Conversion and Rehabilitation Grant
- Professional Design Services Grant
Interested applicants are encouraged to send us an email or call 519-776-7336, Ext. 1135, to book a pre-consultation meeting to determine program eligibility, proposed scope of work, project timing, and compliance with the required guidelines.
The Town encourages eligible applicants to take advantage of the current program while funding and incentives remain available.
