The Maedel Community Centre (MAE, formerly known as the Essex Community Centre) hosts many of our community recreation programs. Located beside the Essex OPP Satellite Office and the Essex Public Library, the MAE offers the following facilities and amenities:

Gymnasium

Suitable for fitness classes, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, and special events. Amenities include:

• Floor hockey equipment with nets
• Pickleball nets, paddles and balls
• Basketballs and soccer balls

Huron Room

Suitable for fitness classes like Zumba® and Yoga as well as dance classes. Amenities include:

• Mirrored wall
• 2 portable freestanding ballet barres
• Audio system with MP3 input and CD player

Ontario Room

This is a small meeting room that can accommodate up to 30 people.

Superior Room
