Water and Wastewater Billing Notice

The Town of Essex would like to advise residents of a mailing error that may affect a small number of water bills.

A third-party contractor responsible for folding, stuffing, and mailing bills mistakenly used envelopes belonging to the Municipality of Leamington. As a result, some residents may receive mail addressed to them from the Municipality of Leamington.

Residents are advised of the following:

• Do not discard the mail. The bill inside is your correct Town of Essex water bill
• Only the envelope is incorrect
• Payment is still required by the due date in accordance with By-law 2490

If you have questions, would like to confirm your billing details, or did not receive your bill, please contact the Water Team at 519-776-7336 ext. 3051 or in-person at Town Hall, 33 Talbot Street South, Essex.

As a reminder, failure to receive a bill does not exempt residents from interest or penalties on late payments.
