Corporate Services

The Finance and Business Services section of the Corporate Services Department is responsible for all financial matters of the Town and oversees all purchasing activities. The main functions of Finance and Business Services are listed below:

• Property Taxation and Assessment
• Water/Wastewater Billing
• Development of Corporate Budgets
• Financial Accounting and Reporting
• Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Payroll and Employee Benefit Administration
• Asset Management
• Overseeing Purchasing Activities
• Grant Reporting
• Customer Service Management 

The Information Technology Department is responsible for maintaining business technology, networked servers, and integrated business applications for all municipal departments and locations, including Town Hall, satellite offices, recreation facilities and fire halls.

The I.T. Department is responsible for the delivery of services in the following areas:

• Identifying, implementing and maintaining effective and integrated business applications
• Ensuring a secure and reliable technology infrastructure
• Providing technical support and training
• Negotiating and managing information technology related contracts
• Telecommunication services
• Geographical Information System mapping services
