The Essex Centre Sports Complex is the Town’s most popular and attended recreational facility, welcoming over 150,000 visitors each year. Home to the Essex 73's Junior C Hockey Team, the complex includes an NHL-sized ice rink, a practice rink, a 210-metre indoor walking track, and two public meeting rooms. |

Offered year-round at the Essex Recreation Centre, public swim sponsorship supports inclusive programming for all ages. On average, each public swim attracts approximately 100 participants. Annually, the Town proudly delivers 1,298 swimming lessons and programs with 3,817 attendees. Sponsored swims are open to the public on a first-come-first-serve basis. Offered at the Essex Sports Complex, and Harrow and Colchester South Arena from September to May, sponsorship supports accessible skating opportunities to residents of all ages. On average, a public skate attracts approximately 100 participants. Sponsored skates are open to the public on a first-come-first-serve basis. Learn more about public skating! |

Drop-In |

Drop-In programming is offered year-round at the Essex Recreation Centre, Essex Sports Complex, and Harrow and Colchester South Arena. As a sponsor, you can support various drop-in programs, providing community members of all ages access to activities and programs free of charge! Clubhouse Day Camp |
|
Clubhouse Day Camps offer engaging and educational experiences for children and youth aged 4 to 12 throughout the year. For over a decade, these camps have been a trusted choice for families, providing a safe, exciting, and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and stay active. Day camps are offered on P.A. Days, during March Break, and throughout the entire summer break. The Town offers 42-day camp programs and welcomes an average of 106 participants per day. June is Parks and Recreation Month |

June is Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM) is an initiative that promotes the benefits of recreation and parks for physical, social, and environmental health. Sponsorship of JRPM will assist the Town in offering free programming to over 1,000 attendees across recreational facilities and parks in the month of June to support healthy living and wellness for residents of all ages. Tune up the Parks |

Tune Up the Parks is a well-known annual summer concert series event that brings free, live outdoor music to local parks in Essex Centre and Colchester, attracting approximately 150 attendees per event. Movies in the Park |

To make the most of the warm summer nights, the Town of Essex hosts Movies in the Park. Spend some quality time with the family and enjoy a free movie under the stars! All ages are invited to watch a film on the big screen, enjoy free concessions, and participate in family friendly activities. Movies are held in Colchester and Essex Centre from June to September, with approximately 150 attendees per event. |
