Public Skating

Our drop-in skating options are a fun-filled experience for the entire family and are offered at both the Essex Centre Sports Complex and the Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre during the fall and winter.

Strap on your skates for a lap around one of our ice pads!

Our Fall 2024 schedule begins on September 9th at both Harrow and Essex arenas and includes the following drop-in programs: 

Join us for a skate on the upcoming PA Days - Sept 20/Oct 11/Nov 15, 2024.

• Parent-Tot Skate - Teach your preschool child to skate. Helmets required for all children. Mandatory adult accompaniment.
• Top-Shelf Toddlers - Children 6 years of age and under can have fun developing shooting and stick handling skills with the help of an adult. Helmets required for all skaters.
• Adult Skate - Get some exercise and work on your skating skills. Ages 16 and over only.
• Adult Skills Skate - Work on your shooting and stick handling skills. Ages 16 and over only, helmets required for all skaters.
• Shinny Hockey - Join a game in progress. Full equipment recommended, skates and helmets mandatory. No body contact permitted. Junior = Ages 6-9 / Intermediate = Ages 10-14 / Senior = Ages 15+
• Public Skating - Bring the whole family! All ages welcome. Helmets recommended for children.
• Figure Skating Practice - If you figure skate, this is an opportunity to get additional practice time. All figure skaters are welcome.

Programs are offered at both the Essex Centre Sports Complex and the Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre. During the annual Early Bird Tournament, all programs will be cancelled at both facilities.
