The Town of Essex rents ice pads, pools, sports fields, pavilions and picnic areas. We also offer a wide range of community and meeting rooms to suit a variety of occasions. From small meetings to large gatherings, we can accommodate your social and business needs.

Block bookings

To book facilities for use on a regular basis, please complete the Requests for Facilities Form.

Deadlines for block bookings are as follows:

Facility bookings

To book an ice pad, ball diamond, soccer field, pavilion or arena meeting room, call Parks and Facilities at 519-776-7336, ext. 1301. 

To book a pool, community centre, gymnasium or community meeting room, call Recreation and Culture at 519-776-7336, ext. 1052. You can also submit your rental request online by submitting our Request for Facilities Form.

Facility rental insurance

Alcohol Risk Management Policy

The Town has developed an Alcohol Risk Management Policy in order to prevent alcohol-related problems within its facilities and to promote a safe and enjoyable environment for those who use these facilities. View the Alcohol Risk Management Policy.
