Council of the Town of Essex will hold a public meeting on Monday, July 15 to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges by-law and underlying background study. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at the Essex County Civic Centre starting at 5:00pm.

The Town of Essex is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Sweet to the position of Deputy Chief Administrative Officer.
Doug has served the Town as the Director, Community Services, since 2013 and Director of Parks and Recreation from 2004 to 2008. He also served as Manager of Arenas and the WFCU Centre for the City of Windsor. Doug replaces Chris Nepszy, who has taken on the CAO role.

Members of Essex Town Council will welcome citizens to two open houses happening in June.
These meetings will give citizens the chance to learn about issues they care about and ask questions of Council.
Two open houses are planned for Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26. Ward Councillors will make a brief presentation to update citizens on ongoing projects, as well as their plans for 2019 and beyond.

Vouchers are available now at select Essex businesses but the special advance sale offer closes on Wednesday, July 3. After that, the cost of an all-day pass returns to $35.
