Road Closure Notice: 5th Concession Road

The Town of Essex is announcing a road closure for the 5th Concession Road between McCormick Road and Ferriss Road, beginning Tuesday, August 6, 2024. This section of the road will be closed until Friday, October 11, 2024, to facilitate essential construction work.

The construction project will focus on stabilizing the drain bank on the Richmond Drain and performing necessary work on the bridge under the 5th Concession Road. These improvements are crucial to maintaining the integrity and safety of our local infrastructure.

To ensure smooth traffic flow during this period, detour routes will be clearly posted. Traffic will be directed southerly along the 4th Concession Road and down McCormick and Ferriss Road.
