Dog Tag Renewals and Registrations

Current dog owners in the Town of Essex should have received an invoice for dog tag licence renewals earlier this month. The online licensing system, Milo, simplifies the process to manage pet licenses from the comfort of home. To renew dog licenses online, visit essex.milotag.com, log-in to your existing account, and follow the simple on-screen instructions to request or renew a licence and pay by Visa, Mastercard, or direct withdrawal. Users who are unable to access their existing account are asked to NOT create a new account - simply contact Town Hall at 519-776-7336 ext. 1100 or 1101 for access. An auto-renewal option is also available to stay up-to-date with licensing.

Residents who do not have access to a computer can renew or request a dog license in person by visiting Town Hall, 33 Talbot Street South, Essex or at the Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre (Arena), 243 McAffee Street, Harrow.

To avoid late penalty, residents are encouraged to purchase their tags by March 31, 2023. Fees increase as of April 1, 2023. The annual fee for renewals and new dogs is $21.10. Fees increase to $42.20 as of April 1, 2023. Residents who no longer have a dog are encouraged to contact the Town of Essex at 519-776-7336 ext. 1100 or 1101 as soon as possible.
