Canada Post Strike Update

Canada Post is experiencing a service disruption due to a national strike. Operations will be shut down for the duration of the strike, leading to delays in service.

As a result, residents may experience significant delays in receiving their property tax and water/wastewater bill in the mail. Please note that the payment due date remains the same, regardless of if the bill is received in the mail.

For water/wastewater bill inquiries, please contact the Town of Essex at 519-776-7336 ext. 3051 or send an email to Water Billing.

For property tax inquiries, please contact 519-776-7336 ext. 3050 or send an email to Taxation.

The Town of Essex is requesting that residents DO NOT send payment through the mail during the duration of the strike. Alternatively, residents are asked to use an alternative payment method.
