Take a drive along the Lake Erie North Shore Wine Route and you’ll discover that you’ve spent much of your time in the Town of Essex. The county boasts 17 wineries with 9 located in the Town of Essex and more expected to open in the near future.

At the southernmost reaches of town, Essex is located below the 42^nd parallel, a latitude we share with northern California and the French Riviera. Rich soil and a moderate climate combine to help us produce some of Ontario’s best wines.
