Councillor Steve Bjorkman

Steve Bjorkman is serving his first term in municipal politics as Councillor for Ward 1 - Essex Centre.

Steve was raised in Windsor and graduated from Forster Secondary School and St. Clair College's Quality Systems program. He works as a Quality Technician at Ford Motor Company and is a member of Unifor Local 200.

Steve is very familiar with downtown Essex Centre, both as a resident and as a property owner. His wife Mary-Anne owns and operates Golden Girls Fashions on Talbot Street and the Bjorkmans live above the store. Steve also chaired the Essex Centre BIA for three years and is keenly aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the downtown core.

Steve and Mary-Anne have two adult daughters who attended Colchester North Public School and Essex District High School.
