At their Regular Meeting on Monday, February 5, Town of Essex Council recognized Fire Chief Rick Arnel, who was recently honoured for his commitment to protecting and serving the community.
At a public ceremony in December, Arnel received a Canada 150 medal from Essex Member of Parliament Tracey Ramsey. The ceremony recognized the incredible contributions of a wide ranging group of community leaders.

At their Regular Meeting on Monday, February 5, Council finalized a four year agreement between the Town of Essex and local firefighters.
The deal is the product of negotiations between administration and representatives of firefighters from the three Town of Essex fire stations.

Caregivers of free-roaming cats and low-income families with dogs and cats may be eligible to receive assistance through the Town’s 2018 Spay and Neuter Voucher Program.
