Call 9-1-1 for emergencies.
Essex Fire and Rescue provides services and programs in our community to protect lives, property and the environment. We follow the three pillars of fire safety:
- Public education
- Inspection and enforcement
- Emergency response
We respond to service calls for fires (structural and open air), fire alarm activations, carbon monoxide alarms, motor vehicle accidents, rescue, emergency medical intervention with Windsor/Essex EMS, and natural disasters.
Message from the Fire Chief
The Fire Chief is also the Town's Community Emergency Management Coordinator, responsible for coordinating the Town's Emergency Operations Centre in the event of a major incident or emergency. He educates residents about emergency preparedness and trains town staff to respond to potential disasters.
